What David Does at Trucker Tools

“I was on the sales team for the first two years I was with Trucker Tools, but for the last year I’ve been managing our onboarding,” David said. “Essentially I help our new customers implement our load tracking and digital freight matching solutions once the sales team closes the deal. I’m the next point of contact for helping them set up their account and setting up their integration. After they go live, if there are any integration issues or integration questions I’m a good point of contact for them. I’m focused on getting them up and running and then I’ll hand them off to our customer success team.”

B.T.T. (Before Trucker Tools)

“I actually studied logistics in school and my degree’s in transportation,” David shared. “My first job out of school was with Werner Enterprises. They’re one of the larger carriers. I went through their transportation management trainee program and I was with the company for about a year and a half managing truck drivers. I was on site at a couple different customer locations, including a Coca-Cola bottling facility where I essentially managed a team of drivers. After that I was with a startup brokerage helping them build out their carrier sales.”

What David Enjoys About Working at Trucker Tools

“I like how like fast paced it is,” David said. “I feel like we’re always releasing and building new products that no one else has built before. I feel like we’re leading the industry in a lot of different products that we’re putting out there. The team’s very dynamic and we respond to what our customers need and build out solutions for them.”

David’s Life Outside of Work

“Recently I’ve been getting into woodworking,” said David. “I’m actually pulling some hardwood floors in my house right now. I enjoy cooking. I have a Big Green Egg barbecue that I fire up on the weekends and I just enjoy grilling out. I definitely enjoy all things cooking and so I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving. I like to watch cooking shows on YouTube and I’ve been watching that Stanley Tucci show on Netflix, Searching for Italy.”

David’s Hero and Mentor

“My grandpa was my hero,” David shared. “I was really close with my grandpa. He started out as a mechanic at U.P.S., but by the time he retired he oversaw all domestic vehicle maintenance. He definitely climbed up through the company and taught me the value of hard work. I learned a lot from him. He had a big influence on me.”
