10 Things You Should Know About the Trucker Tools Driver App

Share it:

The Trucker Tools driver app has been downloaded more than 1 million times. The reason why is simple: it delivers on its promise of saving truckers like you time and money. What makes the Trucker Tools driver app different from other trucker apps is that it’s an all-in-one tool. Instead of flipping between four or five different apps, you can use one app all day every day and with any broker or 3PL. The Trucker Tools driver app won’t drain your battery and won’t eat up your data. It can help you find repair shops, calculate your axle weights and track loads for brokers.

Here are 10 other things you should know about the Trucker Tools driver app.

1. It’s Free

There aren’t many things in life that are truly free, but the Trucker Tools driver app is one of them. With more than 17 tools and features designed to save you time and money on the road, downloading the Trucker Tools driver app is a no-brainer.

2. Route Optimization

The driver app’s routing and fuel optimizer is a fan favorite. Simply enter your destination and the day and time that you need to arrive at your final destination and let the optimizer do the rest. The routing and fuel optimizer finds the best route and the cheapest places for fuel along it — and provides you with turn by turn directions.

3. Weigh Scale Locator

One of the other most popular tools in the Trucker Tools driver app is the weigh scale finder. Tap on Weigh Scales and you’ll be shown the nearest weigh scales and weigh stations, including CAT scales at big truck stops and mom and pop locations.

4. Easy Access to Broker Loads

Instead of calling a broker or logging into a load board, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to quickly see on your phone what broker loads are available? You can do that with the Trucker Tools driver app. Loads are updated in real-time so you’re never looking at loads that have already been taken.

5. App-Based Load Booking

Booking broker loads through the Trucker Tools driver app can be a huge time-saver. When a broker posts a Book It Now® load in the Trucker Tools driver app, you can instantly book the load in the app — no phone calls required. When you tap on Book It, the load is automatically booked in the broker’s software platform.

6. In-App Overnight Parking Reservations

Thanks to our partnership with TruckPark, you now can search for, reserve and pay for overnight and long-term truck parking in the Trucker Tools driver app. All you need is the driver app and a credit card (or Apple Pay). Before you book your parking, you can see what amenities are available onsite.

7. Doc Upload

Another popular feature in the Trucker Tools driver app is the doc upload tool. When you track a broker load with the driver app, you’ll have the option to take a photo of your BOL/POD and immediately send it to the broker through the driver app.

8. Wal-Mart Locator

Do you need to stock up on food and supplies? No problem. Use the Trucker Tools driver app’s Wal-Mart finder to find the nearest Wal-Mart store. When you tap on a store location, you can see whether or not the store sells groceries, what amenities are available onsite and the store’s hours.

9. Truck Stop Guide

The truck stop guide was one of the very first tools to be added to the Trucker Tools driver app and it is still one of the most widely used tools in the app. Tapping on the truck stop guide shows you all the nearest truck stops, including the price of diesel and the number of fuel pumps and parking spaces at each truck stop.

10. Locate Rest Stops Quickly

The Trucker Tools driver app also includes a rest area locator. You can search for rest areas nearby your current location or type in a location. Each rest area that you’ll see listed in your search results includes the address and distance to the rest area, as well as information on whether showers, restrooms and other amenities are available.
