MARKET INDEX REPORT

Welcome to the newest edition of “Where’s the Freight?,” Trucker Tools’ free freight report for carriers and owner operators.

Looking ahead to the coming week, you can expect demand for reefer and flatbed capacity to remain high in several distribution markets, while power only and dry van demand will be relatively muted. In fact, today’s Top Five Hottest Markets list is dominated by reefer and flatbed markets, with the Texarkana, Texas, reefer market claiming the number one spot in today’s Top Five. Other notables in today’s freight report include rising demand for flatbed capacity in markets in Alabama, New York, Indiana and Louisiana and two Texas markets that will see extremely low demand for flatbed capacity over the next five to seven day period.

Where Demand/Rates Will Be Highest or Rising This Week

  • Reefer demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, Tucson, Ariz., Dodge City, Kan., and Jonesboro, Ark., will be extremely high. Reefer demand to/from Decatur, Ala., is expected to rise.
