Trucker Appreciation Week 2019: Thank You, Truckers!

Share it:

This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is here! This week, Sept. 8-14, Trucker Tools and many others in the transportation industry and beyond are honoring professional truck drivers across this country. We’re saying a big thank you for all that you do, day in and day out. Thank you for making sure we have food on our tables every night, the clothes for our kids as they go back to school and all that we need to take care of our families. Thank you for driving those long hours, going the extra mile with service and for being there when we need you.

Why We Care About Truckers

Truckers are the backbone of the transportation industry and, in many ways, the backbone of the American economy. Truckers provide the essential link between manufacturers/producers and consumers, moving everything from fuel and food to electronics and medicines. Did you know that truckers move 71 percent of all the freight in America, approximately 11 billion tons of freight each year? The average professional long-haul trucker also logs 125,000 miles/year and spends 240 nights away from home each year. Truckers sacrifice a lot for their jobs and that is why they’re at the center of everything we do here at Trucker Tools.
