Trucker Tools CEO Update

Happy almost spring, all! It’s a busy time of year for us here at Trucker Tools as we launch several new product features and get ready for a jam-packed trade show and conference season.

Read on to find out what we’ve been up to here at Trucker Tools thus far in 2023 and what you can expect from us over the coming few months.

Our People

We recently welcomed a new Vice President of Marketing, Alex Altvater, to the Trucker Tools team. Alex’s hiring is a huge win for the team, as she brings with her several years of experience in logistics SaaS and in building go-to-market engines. Welcome, Alex! We’re also continuing to hire additional engineering talent – take a look at our job listings on our website or LinkedIn and reach out if you’re interested in joining a fast growing, talented team.

Our Products

All of our newest product feature releases are centered on providing more customization and flexibility to our freight brokers, 3PLs, drivers and carriers. This week, we launched a new Carrier Lane Search feature in our Smart Capacity digital freight matching software platform that allows brokers and 3PLs to easily identify and interact with carriers from within and outside of their current capacity networks. This is a game-changing tool for brokers looking to build out new lanes and increase the share of loads hauled by their core carriers.

We’ve also recently released a new Smart Negotiations tool in Smart Capacity. Smart Negotiations is our one-of-a-kind feature that automates negotiations between carriers, drivers and brokers, getting that “time to book” metric down to a matter of seconds. We’re continuing to add more customizability and flexibility to Smart Negotiations – be on the lookout over the coming weeks for more releases.

What’s Next

We’ve got tons of momentum behind our ELD integration partnerships and we’re excited to continue to exponentially grow our carrier ELD provider network this year. We recently announced our new Samsara ELD one-click integration that allows carriers to integrate to our ELD network with the touch of a button.

There’s also lots of excitement surrounding our cross border tracking product that has best-in-class compliance, particularly as more manufacturing is nearshored to Mexico and freight volumes are expected to pick up considerably across the border in coming months. We’re also seeing signs that the market is poised to turn for the better over the coming months into mid-year, with brokers getting ahead of this projected market turn by investing in capacity tools.

Until next time!

Warmly,
Kary
